  • Overview

    Provides administrative support to the Credit Department and assists in the preparation of credit analysis.  Performs any functions, within scope of authority and expertise, to provide the highest level of service and responsiveness to customers and co-workers.


    • Processes incoming/outgoing requests for credit information, under supervision of Credit Manager.
    • Maintains Credit Pipeline and other pertinent documentation requiring tracking.  Electronically File items related to the activities of the Credit Department.
    • Prepares Senior Credit Committee (“SCC”) Agenda and distributes Credit Approval Memorandums for SCC.  Takes and completes SCC minutes for distribution.
    • Assists in the analysis of all types of credit information pertaining to diverse types of loans.
    • Analyzes financial statements (statement spreading) and related material, as directed.
    • Provides assistance to credit analysts in the analysis process.
    • Obtains and reviews all pertinent credit and financial information, including reporting services (i.e. Dunn & Bradstreet), credit bureaus, or other providers of information.  Determines the need for more thorough investigation or additional information.  Assists Credit Department staff in obtaining and compiling information as to existing relationship of business and its principals with MSB.
    • Provides reports on various portfolio characteristics to management on regular cycle and also as requested.
    • Refers sales opportunities to other departments or bank affiliates in support of established objectives.
    • Performs all duties in accordance with prescribed regulatory compliance guidelines.  Ensures full compliance with the Bank’s Information Security Policies and Procedures.
    • Performs related and unrelated duties as may be required.


    Associates degree or equivalent. One year business experience. Knowledge of accounting, credit analysis and general banking helpful.  High attention to detail, strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills required.  Must possess at least intermediate technology skills, including knowledge of word processing, database and spreadsheet applications.
