The paralegal will be engaged in tasks involving organizing, monitoring business line production of and high level quality control and distribution of board meeting and committee materials; professional verbal and written communications across the institution from board level to line employees; general corporate governance recordkeeping and departmental recordkeeping; contract database maintenance; land registry filings; intellectual property recordkeeping; litigation support and investigative support; legal/regulatory research; legal document review; and general administrative organizational needs within the Legal Department. Performs any functions, within scope of authority and expertise, to provide the highest level of service and responsiveness to customers and co-workers.
Graduate of ABA-approved degree or certificate program. At least two years of corporate/banking paralegal experience, including experience with corporate governance, general corporate and probate documents, with sound project and process management skills. Must exercise discretion, sound judgment, tact and diplomacy in all communications. Must be well-organized, energetic, efficient and detail-oriented. Must be able to comfortably and effectively communicate with trustees, directors and senior management and work well under pressure while maintaining a high level of quality and professionalism. Outstanding verbal and written communication skills are required. Must possess at least intermediate technology skills, including fluency in Word, Excel and Outlook applications; familiarity with SharePoint a plus. Self-confidence, a strong desire to learn, and intellectual inquisitiveness are essential to this position.
