Performs a wide range of duties to complement and support the Training & Development department in conformance with established Bank policies, procedures and objectives. Performs any function, within scope of authority and expertise, to provide the highest level of service and responsiveness to customers and co-workers. Professionally represents Middlesex Savings Banks’ Training and Development department both internally and externally as an integral member of the team.


  • Coordinate employee training schedules and interact with managers for rescheduling of employees if necessary. Communicate notifications of programs and seminars to applicable staff.  Ensure minimum and maximum enrollments to minimize class cancellations. Communicate cancellations within a specified minimum timeline. 
  • Oversee administration of the registration process and records for on-site and off-site training classes/seminars in MSB’s learning management system, (BVS). Maintain updated curriculum database and training records 
  • Create and administer evaluation surveys, record class evaluation sheets and provide summary reports to management. 
  • Market available development opportunities to employees and provide supporting data 
  • SharePoint (Middlesex Savings Bank’s Intranet) site owner and administrator
  • Collaborate with training and development team to map out training plans, design and develop training programs (outsourced or in-house)
  • Build and maintain vendor partnerships.
  • Answer, respond to and/or direct incoming “hunt line” telephone calls. 
  • Partner with IT to provide and/or resolve any technical needs and/or issues.
  • Provide information assistance to callers and schedule the use of training facilities. Partner with Facilities Support to ensure setup for scheduled training sessions. Greet trainees and provide information and assistance as necessary. Make any necessary arrangements for catering services and equipment required for on-site and off-site training classes.
  • Ensure full compliance with the Bank’s Information Security Policies and Procedures.
  • Responsible for reconciliation of General Ledger accounts specific to the department budget. Process vendor invoices and submit to Accounting for payment.
  • Refer sales opportunities to other departments or bank affiliates in support of established objectives.
  • New Hire Orientation facilitation and/or support.
  • Provide compliance training and reporting support. 
  • Provide coverage for other support staff, as needed.
  • Perform related and unrelated duties as may be required. For example, composing and sending communications; ordering and maintaining office supplies; creating, printing, collating and assembling training materials and job aids, classroom setup.


High School diploma or equivalent plus 2-3 years of work-related experience. Advanced technology skills and knowledge of computer systems. Proficiency required with using MS Office and Adobe including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project and database programs necessary to perform required duties. Must be detail-oriented and demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills. Advanced organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple assignments. Ability to create, execute and monitor detailed project plans. Familiarity with blended learning and development methods and techniques preferred, including basic knowledge of instructional design theory and implementation. Ability to coordinate multiple training events in a corporate setting. Basic knowledge of learning management systems and web delivery tools. Must enjoy interaction with customers at all levels of the organization, demonstrate a high quality of customer service and be a team player.
